| Abstract | Artificial Intelligence (AI) has emerged as a transformative research technology capable of supporting advanced scientific investigation, technological development, knowledge discovery, and innovation-oriented decision-making. The increasing availability of large-scale datasets, advanced computational infrastructure, machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, natural language processing, and generative AI has expanded the capacity of researchers and organizations to identify complex patterns and develop innovative solutions. This study examines major artificial intelligence methods used for advanced research and innovation development, with particular attention to machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, knowledge-based systems, generative AI, predictive analytics, and intelligent optimization. A qualitative descriptive research design was adopted through a structured review and conceptual analysis of academic literature concerning AI, research advancement, technological innovation, and intelligent systems. The findings indicate that AI methods can accelerate data analysis, automate repetitive research activities, identify emerging technological opportunities, support experimentation, improve prediction, and facilitate the development of new products, services, and processes. However, challenges involving data quality, computational requirements, explainability, research integrity, algorithmic bias, privacy, cybersecurity, and organizational readiness remain important barriers. The study concludes that AI can significantly strengthen advanced research and innovation when implemented through responsible, transparent, interdisciplinary, and human-centered frameworks. |
