| Abstract | Artificial intelligence has become an important technological foundation for the development of future smart applications across healthcare, education, transportation, manufacturing, finance, agriculture, and urban infrastructure. The increasing availability of connected devices, cloud platforms, edge computing, and large-scale datasets has created opportunities for intelligent systems that can perceive environments, learn from information, predict future conditions, and support autonomous decision-making. This study examines artificial intelligence-based models designed for future smart applications, with particular emphasis on predictive intelligence, adaptive learning, intelligent automation, contextual decision-making, and human-system interaction. A qualitative descriptive research design was adopted through a structured review and thematic analysis of relevant scholarly literature. The analysis indicates that machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and hybrid AI architectures can provide important capabilities for smart application development. AI-enabled systems can improve personalization, operational efficiency, predictive maintenance, resource utilization, and real-time decision-making. However, future smart applications must address challenges related to data quality, privacy, cybersecurity, model explainability, computational requirements, interoperability, and responsible deployment. The study concludes that future smart applications will increasingly depend on integrated AI models capable of combining real-time data processing with adaptive learning and context-aware intelligence. Sustainable development of these applications will require technical innovation alongside transparency, security, ethical governance, and human oversight. |
