| Abstract | The rapid emergence of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, edge computing, cloud platforms, autonomous systems, smart infrastructure, blockchain, and advanced digital networks has fundamentally changed the nature of technology development. These technologies generate large volumes of heterogeneous and continuously changing data, creating a growing need for advanced data science techniques capable of transforming raw information into actionable intelligence. This study examines the applications of data science in emerging technology solutions and develops a conceptual framework connecting data acquisition, preprocessing, feature engineering, analytical modeling, intelligent decision-making, and technology optimization. A conceptual and descriptive research methodology is employed through a structured synthesis of literature related to data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, edge computing, predictive analytics, and intelligent computing. Recent research indicates that AI and data analytics are increasingly being integrated with edge-based IoT environments to support real-time analysis, low-latency decision-making, resource management, healthcare, transportation, smart agriculture, industrial automation, and security applications. The study identifies predictive modeling, anomaly detection, intelligent classification, optimization, natural language processing, pattern recognition, and real-time analytics as important data science applications for emerging technology environments. The analysis further demonstrates that data science can enhance technological performance by identifying hidden relationships, forecasting operational conditions, automating analytical processes, and supporting adaptive decision-making. However, challenges associated with data heterogeneity, computational limitations, privacy, cybersecurity, model explainability, interoperability, scalability, and algorithmic bias can restrict practical implementation. Edge-based data science is particularly important for applications requiring rapid responses because processing information closer to its source can reduce latency and bandwidth requirements. The study proposes an integrated framework in which emerging technologies generate data, data science techniques process and analyze that information, and intelligent outputs are used to improve technological services and operational decisions. The findings suggest that organizations can obtain greater value from emerging technologies when data science is incorporated as a core analytical layer rather than as a separate supporting function. The study concludes that data science has significant potential to accelerate intelligent technology development, improve operational efficiency, and enable scalable and adaptive digital solutions. Future research should investigate explainable analytics, federated learning, privacy-preserving data science, energy-efficient artificial intelligence, multimodal analytics, and autonomous technology optimization. |
