| Abstract | Future engineering technologies are increasingly shaping the transformation of industrial systems toward greater efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and technological adaptability. Rapid developments in artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing, robotics, digital twins, smart materials, industrial Internet of Things, renewable energy systems, and intelligent automation are creating new opportunities for organizations to reduce resource consumption while improving productivity and operational performance. This paper examines future engineering technologies for sustainable industrial transformation through a qualitative descriptive and conceptual research approach based on secondary academic literature concerning industrial digitalization, sustainable engineering, advanced manufacturing, intelligent systems, and energy-efficient technologies. The analysis focuses on intelligent automation, digital engineering, advanced materials, circular production, energy optimization, and integrated industrial systems. The findings indicate that future engineering technologies can support sustainable transformation by improving process efficiency, reducing material and energy waste, enabling predictive maintenance, strengthening resource management, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. However, successful transformation depends on technological readiness, workforce capabilities, investment capacity, interoperability, cybersecurity, and organizational adaptation. The study concludes that sustainable industrial transformation requires integrated engineering strategies in which technological innovation is aligned with environmental objectives, operational requirements, economic feasibility, and long-term industrial resilience. |
