| Abstract | Industrial process optimization has become increasingly important as manufacturing and production systems face growing demands for efficiency, quality, flexibility, reliability, and resource conservation. Conventional optimization approaches often depend on predefined operating conditions and isolated process variables, limiting their ability to respond effectively to complex and dynamic industrial environments. Intelligent engineering models provide opportunities to integrate data analytics, machine learning, simulation, process modeling, predictive analysis, and automated decision-making into industrial optimization. This paper examines industrial process optimization using intelligent engineering models through a qualitative descriptive and conceptual research approach based on secondary academic literature. The study focuses on intelligent process modeling, predictive optimization, digital integration, resource efficiency, process control, and performance improvement. The analysis indicates that intelligent engineering models can improve production efficiency by identifying process relationships, forecasting operational conditions, reducing process variability, optimizing resource utilization, and supporting predictive maintenance. The study further identifies challenges involving data quality, model interpretability, computational requirements, system integration, cybersecurity, and workforce capabilities. The findings emphasize that intelligent optimization should integrate engineering knowledge with computational intelligence rather than replace engineering decision-making. A coordinated approach can enable industrial organizations to improve process performance, reduce operational losses, and develop adaptive production systems capable of responding to changing technological and market requirements. |
