Abstract Advanced robotics technologies are increasingly transforming industrial automation by integrating intelligent sensing, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, collaborative robotics, autonomous navigation, adaptive control, and real-time data processing. Modern robotic systems are moving beyond repetitive programmed operations toward intelligent platforms capable of perception, decision support, environmental adaptation, and human-machine collaboration. This paper examines advanced robotics technologies for intelligent automation applications through a conceptual and literature-based approach. The study focuses on industrial robots, collaborative robots, autonomous mobile robots, machine vision, intelligent control, artificial intelligence, sensor integration, and robotic perception. The analysis indicates that advanced robotics can contribute to production automation, material handling, assembly, inspection, logistics, maintenance, and flexible manufacturing.
However, effective implementation is influenced by technological complexity, system integration, cybersecurity, safety requirements, investment costs, data quality, and workforce capabilities. Future research should emphasize adaptive robotic systems, human-robot collaboration, autonomous industrial mobility, explainable robotic intelligence, edge-based processing, safe machine learning, and integrated robotic platforms. The study concludes that advanced robotics technologies can provide an important foundation for intelligent automation when robotic capabilities are integrated with reliable sensing, intelligent decision-making, secure communication, appropriate safety mechanisms, and human-centered industrial design.
