| Abstract | Robotics-based automation has become an important technological approach for improving industrial performance through the integration of robotic systems, automated control, sensing technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and digital production environments. Industrial organizations increasingly employ robotic automation to improve productivity, operational consistency, process accuracy, workplace safety, and resource utilization. This paper examines robotics-based automation models for industrial performance enhancement through a conceptual and literature-based research approach. The study focuses on robotic manipulation, sensing, motion control, machine vision, collaborative robotics, intelligent automation, predictive maintenance, and data-driven process optimization. The analysis indicates that robotics-based automation can support repetitive operations, material handling, assembly, inspection, packaging, welding, logistics, and other industrial activities while reducing dependence on manual intervention in hazardous or highly repetitive tasks. However, successful implementation is influenced by integration complexity, investment requirements, workforce adaptation, cybersecurity, maintenance, programming requirements, and system scalability. The study emphasizes that industrial performance improvement depends not only on robot deployment but also on appropriate system integration, process redesign, workforce development, and continuous performance monitoring. Future research should examine adaptive robotic systems, human–robot collaboration, artificial intelligence-enabled robotics, digital twins, autonomous task planning, predictive maintenance, and flexible automation architectures. The findings highlight the importance of developing scalable and intelligent robotics-based automation models that align technological capabilities with industrial performance objectives. |
