| Abstract | Robotic vision technologies have become a fundamental component of advanced automation by enabling robots to perceive, interpret, and respond to physical environments. The integration of cameras, three-dimensional sensors, image-processing algorithms, computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotic control enables automated systems to perform inspection, object recognition, localization, manipulation, navigation, and quality assessment. This study examines robotic vision technologies for advanced automation applications, focusing on sensing architectures, image acquisition, visual processing, object recognition, intelligent decision-making, and robotic control. A qualitative descriptive and conceptual research design was adopted using secondary academic literature. The analysis indicates that robotic vision can improve automation capabilities by providing machines with environmental information that supports adaptive and precise operations. Two-dimensional and three-dimensional vision systems can identify objects, surfaces, defects, positions, and spatial relationships, while machine-learning techniques can enhance recognition and classification. Robotic vision is applicable to manufacturing, assembly, logistics, inspection, warehousing, agriculture, healthcare, and other automated environments. However, implementation remains affected by lighting variation, sensor limitations, computational requirements, data quality, system integration, calibration, cybersecurity, and operational costs. The study concludes that effective robotic vision requires coordinated integration of sensing, image processing, intelligent perception, and robotic control. Future research should emphasize three-dimensional perception, vision-based learning, edge AI, multimodal sensing, real-time processing, explainable robotic decisions, and adaptive vision systems capable of operating reliably in dynamic industrial environments. |
