| Abstract | Robotic intelligence is increasingly enabling automated systems to perform complex tasks that require perception, reasoning, planning, learning, adaptation, and interaction with dynamic environments. Conventional robotic automation generally depends on predefined instructions and structured operating conditions, whereas intelligent robotic systems can integrate artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, sensor fusion, natural language processing, and autonomous decision-making to manage more variable tasks. This paper examines robotic intelligence models for complex task automation through a conceptual and literature-based research approach. The study focuses on perception-based robotics, intelligent task planning, reinforcement learning, adaptive control, human–robot interaction, multi-sensor integration, autonomous navigation, and decision-support mechanisms. The analysis indicates that robotic intelligence models can improve task flexibility by enabling robots to interpret environmental information and select appropriate actions according to changing conditions. Machine learning can support behavioral adaptation, while computer vision and sensor fusion can improve environmental understanding. Advanced planning models can decompose complex objectives into sequential actions, and intelligent control mechanisms can support reliable execution. However, complex robotic automation remains associated with challenges involving uncertainty, safety, computational requirements, data limitations, explainability, cybersecurity, hardware constraints, and human–robot coordination. The study emphasizes the importance of integrated robotic architectures that combine sensing, perception, reasoning, planning, learning, control, and feedback. Future research should investigate embodied artificial intelligence, foundation models for robotics, adaptive reinforcement learning, simulation-to-real transfer, explainable robotic decision-making, multi-robot coordination, and safe autonomous systems. The study concludes that robotic intelligence models can provide a strong foundation for complex task automation when learning, perception, planning, control, and safety mechanisms are effectively integrated. |
