| Abstract | Digital health technologies are increasingly transforming healthcare delivery by connecting patients, healthcare professionals, institutions, and information systems through digital platforms and intelligent technological infrastructure. Technologies such as telemedicine, electronic health records, mobile health applications, wearable devices, remote patient monitoring, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, health information systems, and digital decision-support tools can contribute to more accessible, coordinated, efficient, and sustainable healthcare services. This study examines the role of digital health technologies in supporting sustainable healthcare development through a conceptual and literature-based research approach. The study focuses on digital healthcare delivery, remote monitoring, electronic information management, intelligent decision support, patient engagement, healthcare resource optimization, and technology-enabled continuity of care. The analysis indicates that digital technologies can improve access to healthcare services, facilitate information exchange, support preventive care, enable remote consultations, and strengthen patient monitoring. Telemedicine can reduce geographical barriers, while mobile health and wearable technologies can support continuous engagement and health monitoring. Electronic health records can improve information availability and coordination among healthcare professionals, whereas artificial intelligence can support data analysis and decision-making. However, digital transformation also involves challenges related to privacy, cybersecurity, digital inequality, interoperability, infrastructure, technological literacy, data governance, and long-term sustainability. Sustainable healthcare development requires digital technologies to be implemented according to healthcare needs rather than technology availability alone. Future research should examine environmentally sustainable digital infrastructure, inclusive digital healthcare models, privacy-preserving technologies, artificial intelligence integration, remote monitoring, and long-term effects of digital health adoption. The study concludes that responsible digital health technologies can support sustainable healthcare development by improving accessibility, efficiency, coordination, continuity, and patient engagement while strengthening the capacity of healthcare systems to respond to changing population and service requirements. |
