| Abstract | Digital transformation has become a significant approach for improving the structure, delivery, management, and accessibility of modern healthcare services. The integration of electronic health records, telemedicine, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technologies, cloud computing, mobile health applications, healthcare analytics, and interoperable digital platforms is changing conventional healthcare processes. This study examines major digital transformation approaches in modern healthcare systems through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The study focuses on digital infrastructure, electronic health information, telehealth, artificial intelligence, connected healthcare devices, cloud-based systems, data analytics, interoperability, cybersecurity, and patient-centered digital services. Digital transformation can support healthcare organizations by improving information availability, communication, workflow coordination, remote service delivery, decision support, and patient engagement. Electronic health records can facilitate structured information management, while telemedicine can extend healthcare services to patients located outside traditional clinical settings. Artificial intelligence and analytics can support clinical and administrative decision-making by identifying patterns and generating analytical insights. IoT-enabled devices can contribute to remote monitoring and continuous collection of healthcare information. However, digital transformation also introduces challenges related to cybersecurity, privacy, interoperability, infrastructure, implementation costs, workforce readiness, digital inequality, data quality, and resistance to organizational change. Successful transformation therefore requires coordinated technological, organizational, clinical, and governance strategies. The study concludes that digital transformation can strengthen modern healthcare systems when technologies are integrated with appropriate workflows, professional expertise, secure data management, and patient-centered practices. Future research should emphasize interoperable ecosystems, responsible artificial intelligence, digital health equity, cybersecurity resilience, personalized healthcare, predictive analytics, and sustainable digital infrastructure. |
