| Abstract | Health informatics has become an important interdisciplinary field for integrating healthcare, information technology, data management, artificial intelligence, and digital communication to improve future medical applications. The increasing generation of electronic health records, medical images, genomic information, clinical observations, laboratory results, wearable-device data, and biomedical literature has created a growing need for advanced informatics models capable of managing and interpreting complex healthcare information. This study examines advanced health informatics models for future medical applications through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The study focuses on electronic health information systems, clinical decision-support systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, health data analytics, interoperability, Internet of Things technologies, telemedicine, cloud computing, and patient-centered digital platforms. Advanced informatics models can support medical professionals and researchers by improving information accessibility, clinical decision support, patient monitoring, healthcare coordination, predictive analysis, and research data management. Interoperability can facilitate information exchange among healthcare institutions, while analytics and artificial intelligence can support the interpretation of complex medical datasets. Connected healthcare technologies can also enable continuous monitoring and remote healthcare services. However, implementation involves challenges related to data quality, privacy, cybersecurity, interoperability, infrastructure, workforce readiness, technological costs, and digital inequality. The study concludes that advanced health informatics models can contribute significantly to future medical applications when they are developed through secure, interoperable, evidence-informed, and patient-centered approaches. Future research should emphasize intelligent clinical systems, multimodal health data integration, explainable artificial intelligence, privacy-preserving analytics, personalized healthcare, interoperable infrastructures, and sustainable digital health ecosystems. |
