| Abstract | Healthcare information management has become increasingly complex because modern healthcare organizations generate large volumes of clinical, administrative, diagnostic, and patient-related information. Artificial intelligence provides advanced capabilities for organizing, processing, analyzing, and retrieving healthcare information through machine learning, natural language processing, intelligent classification, predictive analytics, and automated information processing. This study examines the role of artificial intelligence in healthcare information management, with particular emphasis on data organization, clinical information processing, information retrieval, predictive analytics, interoperability, data quality, and intelligent decision support. A qualitative descriptive and conceptual research design was adopted using secondary academic literature. The analysis indicates that artificial intelligence can improve information processing efficiency, identify patterns in healthcare datasets, support information retrieval, automate repetitive documentation activities, and provide analytical insights for healthcare management. AI-enabled systems can also contribute to more structured information environments by processing unstructured clinical notes and integrating information from multiple digital sources. However, challenges involving data privacy, cybersecurity, interoperability, algorithmic bias, data quality, explainability, infrastructure, and professional acceptance remain significant. The study concludes that artificial intelligence can strengthen healthcare information management when implemented through secure, interoperable, transparent, and clinically appropriate systems. Effective governance, continuous evaluation, professional oversight, and responsible data management are essential for ensuring that AI-supported information management contributes to efficient and patient-centered healthcare delivery. |
