| Abstract | Artificial intelligence has emerged as an important technological approach for addressing complex global health challenges involving disease prevention, diagnosis, healthcare accessibility, resource allocation, public health surveillance, and clinical decision-making. AI-enabled healthcare solutions can process large and diverse datasets, identify disease patterns, support predictive analytics, assist medical diagnosis, and facilitate remote healthcare delivery. These capabilities are particularly relevant to health systems facing limited resources, geographical barriers, increasing disease burdens, and shortages of healthcare professionals. This study examines AI-enabled healthcare solutions for global health challenges, focusing on intelligent diagnosis, predictive healthcare analytics, disease surveillance, remote healthcare, resource management, and health information processing. A qualitative descriptive and conceptual research design was adopted using secondary academic literature. The analysis identifies artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, predictive analytics, and intelligent decision-support systems as major technologies supporting global health applications. However, implementation is affected by challenges involving data availability, digital infrastructure, algorithmic bias, privacy, cybersecurity, interoperability, affordability, regulatory capacity, and digital inequality. The study emphasizes the importance of context-sensitive AI development, responsible governance, local validation, human oversight, and equitable access. Overall, AI-enabled healthcare solutions can contribute to global health improvement when technological innovation is aligned with healthcare priorities, local conditions, ethical principles, and sustainable implementation strategies. |
