| Abstract | Intelligent learning systems are increasingly transforming educational practices through the integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, learning analytics, adaptive algorithms, and intelligent tutoring technologies. These systems can analyze learner behavior, academic performance, interaction patterns, and learning preferences to provide personalized educational experiences. This study examines intelligent learning systems using artificial intelligence techniques and evaluates their potential contribution to personalized instruction, learner engagement, assessment, academic support, and educational decision-making. A qualitative descriptive and conceptual research design was adopted using secondary academic literature. The analysis indicates that AI-based learning systems can support adaptive content delivery, automated feedback, intelligent tutoring, learner-performance prediction, personalized recommendations, and continuous assessment. These capabilities may enable educators to identify learning difficulties and provide targeted instructional support. However, challenges involving data privacy, algorithmic bias, explainability, infrastructure, teacher preparedness, digital inequality, and excessive dependence on automated systems may affect successful adoption. Effective implementation requires human-centered design, reliable educational data, transparent AI models, teacher involvement, appropriate governance, and continuous evaluation. The study concludes that intelligent learning systems can contribute significantly to future education when artificial intelligence is integrated with sound pedagogy, educator expertise, learner needs, and ethical principles. |
