| Abstract | Smart classrooms represent an evolving educational model in which emerging digital technologies are integrated with instructional practices to create interactive, connected, adaptive, and data-informed learning environments. Technologies such as artificial intelligence, Internet of Things, cloud computing, learning analytics, augmented reality, virtual reality, interactive displays, educational platforms, and intelligent response systems can transform conventional classroom activities. This study examines smart classroom models using emerging digital technologies through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The study focuses on technology-enabled instructional delivery, intelligent classroom management, personalized learning, digital collaboration, immersive learning, automated assessment, real-time analytics, and connected classroom infrastructure. Smart classroom technologies can support learning by providing interactive content, immediate feedback, differentiated instruction, multimedia representation, and continuous monitoring of learner participation. Connected devices can also facilitate classroom management and resource coordination. However, successful implementation requires reliable infrastructure, teacher digital competence, appropriate pedagogical integration, learner accessibility, cybersecurity, data privacy, and institutional support. Excessive dependence on technology may also create distraction, technical disruption, digital fatigue, and unequal learning opportunities. The study concludes that smart classrooms can strengthen contemporary education when emerging technologies are integrated according to educational objectives and learner requirements. Future research should examine intelligent classroom ecosystems, AI-supported instruction, immersive learning environments, privacy-preserving analytics, inclusive smart classrooms, and human-centered technology integration. |
