| Abstract | Intelligent academic support systems are increasingly being developed to assist students, educators, and institutions through the integration of artificial intelligence, learning analytics, digital platforms, adaptive technologies, and automated support services. These systems can provide personalized academic recommendations, timely feedback, learning resources, progress monitoring, advising assistance, and early identification of potential learning difficulties. This study examines intelligent academic support systems using digital technologies, with particular attention to artificial intelligence, learning analytics, intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, digital advising, automated feedback, and student-support dashboards. A qualitative descriptive and conceptual research design was adopted using secondary academic literature. The analysis indicates that intelligent academic support systems can strengthen personalized learning, academic monitoring, student engagement, timely intervention, and access to educational assistance. AI-based systems can provide responsive learning support, while analytics can identify patterns in student participation and performance. Adaptive platforms can adjust learning resources according to learner requirements, and digital advising systems can facilitate access to academic information. However, effective implementation requires attention to data privacy, cybersecurity, algorithmic transparency, bias, accessibility, technological reliability, academic integrity, faculty preparedness, and institutional governance. The study concludes that intelligent academic support systems can contribute to more responsive and student-centered education when digital technologies are integrated with professional academic guidance, transparent governance, inclusive design, and continuous evaluation. |
