Artificial Intelligence Applications in Business Decision Management

| Abstract | Artificial intelligence has become an important technological capability for organizations seeking to improve business decision management through data analysis, predictive modeling, automation, intelligent recommendations, and real-time information processing. AI-supported decision systems can assist organizations in evaluating complex business information, identifying patterns, forecasting potential outcomes, and supporting strategic, operational, financial, and customer-related decisions. This study examines the applications of artificial intelligence in business decision management through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The analysis focuses on machine learning, predictive analytics, natural language processing, intelligent recommendation systems, automated decision support, and AI-enabled business intelligence. An integrated framework is proposed linking organizational objectives, business data, AI processing, predictive insights, managerial interpretation, decision implementation, and performance feedback. AI can improve the speed and analytical depth of decision processes; however, its effectiveness depends on data quality, technological infrastructure, employee capabilities, explainability, cybersecurity, privacy, and appropriate human oversight. Automated recommendations may also produce inaccurate or biased results when training data or models are inadequate. Therefore, organizations require governance mechanisms that establish accountability, transparency, data controls, and human review. The study emphasizes that AI should function as decision-support infrastructure rather than an unrestricted substitute for managerial judgment. Future research should examine explainable AI, human-AI collaboration, real-time decision intelligence, responsible AI governance, multimodal business analytics, and adaptive decision-support systems. The proposed framework provides a conceptual foundation for organizations seeking to integrate AI into business decision management while maintaining analytical reliability, managerial accountability, and sustainable organizational performance. |
