| Abstract | Strategic innovation has become an important mechanism for organizations seeking sustainable business development in increasingly competitive and rapidly changing markets. Organizations are required to integrate innovation with long-term strategic objectives while addressing environmental pressures, changing customer expectations, technological disruption, resource constraints, and stakeholder demands. This study examines strategic innovation models for sustainable business development through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The study focuses on strategic innovation capability, sustainable business models, open innovation, green innovation, digital transformation, organizational learning, stakeholder engagement, and dynamic capabilities. An integrated framework is proposed linking environmental scanning, strategic objectives, innovation capabilities, stakeholder knowledge, resource allocation, innovation implementation, sustainability measurement, and organizational learning. Strategic innovation can enable organizations to develop new products, services, processes, technologies, and business models while supporting long-term value creation. Sustainable innovation additionally encourages organizations to consider environmental and social consequences alongside economic objectives. However, implementation may be constrained by financial limitations, organizational resistance, technological uncertainty, inadequate innovation capabilities, weak sustainability measurement, and difficulties in balancing short-term returns with long-term objectives. The study emphasizes that strategic innovation requires alignment between leadership, organizational capabilities, technology, employees, stakeholders, and sustainability goals. Future research should investigate artificial intelligence-enabled innovation, circular business models, digital sustainability, ecosystem innovation, sustainable entrepreneurship, and adaptive innovation governance. The proposed framework provides a conceptual foundation for organizations seeking to integrate innovation strategy with sustainable business development, organizational resilience, responsible value creation, competitive adaptation, and long-term performance. |
