Advanced Marketing Analytics for Consumer Behaviour Prediction

| Abstract | Advanced marketing analytics has become an important capability for organizations seeking to understand and predict consumer behaviour in increasingly digital and data-intensive markets. The integration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, customer data platforms, natural language processing, and digital marketing technologies enables organizations to examine consumer preferences, purchasing patterns, engagement behaviour, and changing market trends. This study examines advanced marketing analytics for consumer behaviour prediction, with particular attention to predictive modelling, customer segmentation, purchase intention, customer lifetime value, recommendation systems, digital engagement, and marketing decision-making. A qualitative descriptive and conceptual research design was adopted using secondary academic literature. The analysis indicates that advanced analytics can support organizations in identifying behavioural patterns and developing more data-informed marketing strategies. Machine learning can classify consumer segments, predictive models can estimate purchasing behaviour, and recommendation systems can support personalized marketing interactions. However, effective consumer prediction depends on data quality, model validity, privacy protection, transparency, and responsible use of consumer information. Challenges also arise from changing consumer preferences, fragmented digital data, algorithmic bias, cybersecurity risks, and organizational skill requirements. The study emphasizes that marketing analytics should combine computational capabilities with marketing expertise and contextual interpretation. Appropriate governance, ethical data practices, continuous model evaluation, and human oversight are essential for responsible implementation. The findings provide a conceptual foundation for understanding how advanced marketing analytics can support consumer behaviour prediction and technology-enabled marketing management. |
