| Abstract | Technology-based supply chain management has become increasingly important for organizations seeking to improve operational efficiency, responsiveness, visibility, and competitiveness in complex business environments. The integration of artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technologies, cloud computing, blockchain, big data analytics, enterprise systems, robotics, and digital platforms has transformed conventional supply chain processes from relatively linear operations into interconnected and data-driven ecosystems. This study examines technology-based supply chain management for business optimization through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The study focuses on digital procurement, intelligent inventory management, demand forecasting, warehouse automation, logistics optimization, supplier management, real-time tracking, supply chain analytics, and digital collaboration. An integrated framework is proposed linking supply chain requirements, digital infrastructure, data integration, intelligent analytics, operational decision-making, process execution, performance measurement, and continuous improvement. Technology-enabled supply chains can improve information visibility, inventory planning, demand responsiveness, logistics coordination, resource utilization, and operational decision-making. However, organizations may encounter challenges involving cybersecurity, data quality, system interoperability, implementation costs, technological complexity, supplier readiness, workforce capabilities, and organizational resistance. The study emphasizes that supply chain digitalization requires alignment among technology investments, operational processes, organizational capabilities, supplier relationships, and strategic objectives. Future research should investigate autonomous supply chains, artificial intelligence-based planning, digital twins, blockchain-enabled traceability, sustainable logistics, predictive risk management, and human-technology collaboration. The proposed framework provides a conceptual foundation for understanding how emerging technologies can support integrated supply chain management and business optimization. |
