| Abstract | Smart enterprise systems are becoming increasingly important for organizations seeking to integrate business processes, information resources, analytical capabilities, and intelligent technologies within rapidly changing business environments. The emergence of artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud computing, Internet of Things technologies, big data analytics, automation, and enterprise platforms has expanded the capabilities of conventional enterprise information systems. This study examines smart enterprise systems for future business management through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The study focuses on intelligent enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, supply chain integration, human resource management, financial management, business intelligence, predictive analytics, process automation, and executive decision support. An integrated framework is proposed connecting organizational strategy, enterprise digital infrastructure, data integration, intelligent analytics, automated business processes, managerial decision-making, organizational performance, and continuous improvement. Smart enterprise systems can support real-time information availability, process integration, operational efficiency, resource planning, customer management, risk identification, and evidence-informed managerial decisions. However, implementation involves challenges related to cybersecurity, data quality, interoperability, investment requirements, technological complexity, employee capabilities, organizational resistance, and ethical use of artificial intelligence. The study emphasizes that future-oriented enterprise management requires alignment between intelligent technologies, business processes, organizational capabilities, human expertise, and governance mechanisms. Future research should investigate autonomous enterprise systems, AI-enabled decision support, digital twins, generative AI, intelligent process automation, sustainable enterprise technologies, and human-AI collaboration. The proposed framework provides a conceptual foundation for understanding how smart enterprise systems can support integrated, adaptive, data-driven, and strategically oriented business management. |
