| Abstract | Emerging business technologies are increasingly influencing economic development by transforming production systems, financial services, entrepreneurship, trade, employment, and organizational operations. Artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data analytics, digital platforms, automation, fintech, and advanced communication technologies are creating new opportunities for productivity improvement, market access, innovation, and inclusive economic participation. This study examines the role of emerging business technologies in supporting economic development through a conceptual and literature-based research design. The analysis focuses on technology-enabled productivity, digital entrepreneurship, financial inclusion, intelligent business management, supply chain modernization, digital markets, innovation ecosystems, and sustainable economic activities. An integrated framework is proposed connecting technological infrastructure, organizational capabilities, digital entrepreneurship, intelligent analytics, business innovation, productivity, market expansion, employment opportunities, and broader economic outcomes. Emerging technologies can facilitate faster information exchange, reduce transaction costs, improve resource allocation, enable new business models, and provide organizations with access to geographically distributed markets. However, technological development also involves challenges related to digital inequality, cybersecurity, infrastructure limitations, workforce skills, investment requirements, regulatory uncertainty, data governance, and organizational readiness. The study emphasizes that technology contributes to economic development most effectively when digital infrastructure, human capabilities, institutional support, innovation ecosystems, and responsible governance develop together. The proposed framework provides a conceptual foundation for understanding how emerging business technologies can contribute to productivity, innovation, market development, and sustainable economic progress. |
