| Abstract | Global sustainability challenges have become increasingly interconnected with climate change, resource depletion, environmental pollution, energy insecurity, biodiversity loss, waste generation, and unequal access to essential services. Technology-based solutions provide opportunities to address these challenges through intelligent systems, renewable energy, advanced materials, digital platforms, circular technologies, sustainable infrastructure, and data-driven decision-making. This study examines technology-based solutions for global sustainability challenges through a conceptual and descriptive research approach. The analysis focuses on artificial intelligence, Internet of Things technologies, renewable energy systems, smart infrastructure, circular economy technologies, precision agriculture, sustainable transportation, advanced water-management systems, waste-management technologies, and environmental monitoring platforms. An integrated framework is developed linking sustainability challenge identification, technological assessment, digital integration, resource optimization, implementation, impact evaluation, and continuous innovation. . The analysis indicates that technology can improve resource efficiency, environmental monitoring, energy management, agricultural productivity, water conservation, waste recovery, mobility, and access to sustainable services. AI and data analytics can support forecasting and decision-making, while IoT technologies can enable real-time environmental monitoring. Renewable energy and energy-storage technologies can support energy transitions, and circular technologies can improve material recovery and product lifecycles. However, technological solutions also face challenges related to investment requirements, digital infrastructure, data quality, cybersecurity, technological inequality, skills shortages, regulatory uncertainty, and lifecycle environmental impacts. Technology alone cannot resolve complex sustainability challenges; effective outcomes require institutional coordination, responsible governance, inclusive access, environmental assessment, and appropriate implementation strategies. Future research should investigate integrated sustainability platforms, AI-enabled climate adaptation, intelligent resource management, smart water systems, circular manufacturing, sustainable digital infrastructure, and technology-enabled approaches to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. |
