| Abstract | Sustainable technology has become an important mechanism for addressing interconnected global development challenges involving environmental degradation, resource scarcity, social inequality, infrastructure limitations, and economic instability. Sustainable technology frameworks provide structured approaches for integrating technological innovation with environmental protection, social inclusion, economic efficiency, and long-term development objectives. This study examines sustainable technology frameworks and their applications across renewable energy, smart agriculture, healthcare, education, transportation, water management, digital infrastructure, and sustainable urban development. A qualitative descriptive research design was adopted using secondary academic literature and thematic analysis. The analysis indicates that sustainable technology frameworks can improve resource efficiency, strengthen service accessibility, reduce environmental pressures, and support data-driven development planning. Digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, Internet of Things systems, big-data analytics, cloud computing, and digital platforms, can further strengthen sustainable technology applications through monitoring, prediction, automation, and resource optimization. However, implementation remains constrained by financial limitations, inadequate infrastructure, digital inequality, technical skills shortages, governance challenges, and difficulties in evaluating lifecycle sustainability. The study emphasizes that successful sustainable technology frameworks should integrate technological capabilities with local development needs, inclusive infrastructure, responsible governance, environmental assessment, and stakeholder participation. Future research should investigate adaptive technology frameworks, intelligent sustainability systems, circular technology models, low-carbon digital infrastructure, and context-sensitive implementation strategies. Sustainable technology can contribute to global development when technological advancement is systematically aligned with social, economic, and environmental priorities. |
