| Abstract | The rapid development of intelligent digital technologies is transforming contemporary research methodologies by expanding capabilities for data collection, analysis, interpretation, collaboration, simulation, and knowledge generation. Artificial intelligence, machine learning, natural language processing, big-data analytics, cloud computing, Internet of Things technologies, automation, and digital research platforms increasingly support researchers across diverse disciplines. This study examines advanced research methodologies using intelligent digital technologies through a conceptual and descriptive research approach. The study focuses on digitally enabled research design, intelligent data collection, automated data processing, computational analysis, interdisciplinary research, digital collaboration, research validation, reproducibility, and responsible technology use. An integrated methodological framework is proposed connecting research problem identification, digital research design, data acquisition, intelligent processing, analytical modelling, validation, interpretation, knowledge dissemination, and continuous methodological refinement. The analysis demonstrates that intelligent technologies can increase research efficiency, support large-scale data analysis, identify complex patterns, facilitate real-time information processing, and enable distributed research collaboration. Natural language processing can assist textual analysis, machine learning can support predictive and classification tasks, while cloud platforms can facilitate computationally intensive research activities. Nevertheless, technological integration introduces challenges involving data quality, algorithmic transparency, cybersecurity, privacy, methodological bias, reproducibility, digital skills, and research ethics. Intelligent systems should therefore complement rather than replace scholarly judgment. Researchers remain responsible for selecting appropriate methodologies, validating computational outputs, interpreting findings, documenting analytical procedures, and maintaining research integrity. The study emphasizes that advanced digital research methodologies should combine technological capabilities with methodological rigor, transparency, human oversight, and contextual sensitivity. Future research should investigate AI-assisted research design, automated literature synthesis, intelligent experimental systems, multimodal research analytics, reproducible computational infrastructures, and human-AI research collaboration. |
